Chelsea playmaker Oscar close to join Real Madrid

Oscar, the Chelsea playmaker, has stated that he almost agreed a contract with Spanish giants Real Madrid. The talented Brazilian footballer signed for Chelsea before the beginning of the past season in a huge money contract and has since that time he has become a fans’ favorite at the London club.

He, however, stated that the move almost did not happen following a preliminary dialogues with the Spanish giants.
According to reports, while speaking to a leading Brazilian magazine, h e told that a month before signing for the London club, he was close to doing so with Real Madrid. But Mourinho told him that he wanted him in the team. They came to watch him in some matches but they had the playmaker spot well covered and he then signed for Chelsea.

Finally, the twenty two year old player linked up with Mourinho after he was constituted Blues coach for the 2nd time this summer. Again, he has stressed his admiration for the Brazilian youngster with selecting him regularly over previous season's star Juan Mata.

Oscar stated that upon his arrival at Chelsea, Mourinho spoke to him. He gives him confidence and he is trying to repay all such support on the pitch. At present, the playmaker is with the national team of Brazil as they are getting ready for a friendly match against Chile in Toronto, Canada.
