Athletic Madrid’s Diego Costa has been one of the standout players in La Liga this season as he is one of the top goal-scorers on the Spanish League along with Lionel Messi and C.Ronaldo as well as being one of the most fundamental and important players for his club which has helped them on not only being at the top of the league but getting into the next stages of the Champions League where they now have to face off against PSG.
Chelsea is also located at the top of their respective league but there is an area of the team of Jose Mourinho in which the club has been struggling in and that is on the attacking department of the squad with neither Fernando Torres, Demba Ba nor Samuel Eto’o being able to turn themselves as reliable and consistent forwards which can step it up whenever it is needed.
Eden Hazard and Oscar are the top goal-scorers for Chelsea in this season which is evidence of just how much the strikers of the team have been struggling on scoring goals in the current campaign.
Which is why Jose Mourinho is trying to sign Diego Costa from Athletic Madrid when the transfer window opens in the summer but the negotiations might be a little more complicated and delicate then usual as the Spanish club wants to keep Thibaut Courtois on a permanent deal instead of the loan deal which was agreed with the Premier League side.
Thibaut Courtois was signed by Chelsea back in 2011 but was immediately loaned out to Athletic Madrid where he has made superb performances with the club and he is already rated as one of the best goalkeeper in Europe despite only being 21 years old.
In order for Chelsea to sign Diego Costa, they might have to release Courtois and allow him to move to Athletic Madrid. If you can see that happening, why not use our partners £100 Welcome Bonus - Bet now!
