Eden Hazard is not leaving Chelsea anytime soon
Eden Hazard has a contract with Chelsea which extends until 2020 but the Belgium midfielder has recently been linked with various clubs as there are many managers interested in securing the services of the Premier League Player of the Year for 2014.
Real Madrid is one of the main clubs that has been rumored to sign Eden Hazard but unfortunately for the Spanish outfit, Hazard recently stated that he considers Chelsea to be part of his family and does not have any real interest in leaving.
The 26 year old midfielder talked about the recent transfer rumors that have been emerging which claimed that a move away from Stamford Bridge was realistic as Eden Hazard said:
“I like this club because it’s a family. I have a lot of friends and we all talk to each other. I’ve been here five years now and I’m so happy. I’m at one of the best clubs in the world, so I’m very happy to play for such a big club as this.”
“Hopefully next year it is the same, we win the league and then I win Player of the Year. Obviously winning the league is what we want most, and this award is just a bonus.”
The former Lille player has recently undergone a surgery on his right knee which is expected to leave him out of the pitch for around 3 months. This surgery was necessary after Hazard sustained a fracture on his right-knee during a training session with the Belgium national football team.
This surgery might even leave Eden Hazard out of Chelsea’s opening weeks for the upcoming 2017-18 season of the English Premier League which is a huge blow for Antonio Conte and his squad but at least he has no interest in leaving Chelsea anytime soon despite all the recent transfer rumors.
